The city has a diverse ethnic composition;more than one - third of its population is made up of immigrants.The largest immigrant groups are from Italy, the Balkans, Portugal and Germany.There is also a small population of non - European immigrants.This diverse characteristic makes Zurich regularly recognised as one of the world 's most liveable cities. Your guide will pick you up in a wheelchair accessible vehicle at 9:30 am to drive to the lakefront city, perched amid snow capped mountains. The city is known for its preserved medieval architecture, and the wooden bridge spanning the river to connect the city is one of the world’s oldest, dating back to the 14th century. You’ll visit old town, have time for shopping, and take a boat ride on Lake Lucerne. You’ll then ascend into the alps on the Cogwheel Railway. After exploring picturesque Lucerne and the Alps, you’ll head back to the hotel on the scenic road.

At 23 meters high and 150 meters wide, the Rhine Falls are one of the largest waterfalls in Europe. The falls are located on the High Rhine on the border between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zürich.After some photo - ops and the chance to observe the monstrous falls, you will then visit Lake Constance. Known as 'Bodensee' in German, Lake Constance lies below the northern edge of the Alps.Not only is it the largest lake in Germany, it 's also one of the most beautiful bodies of water in Europe. Bordered by Austria and Switzerland, it offers strikingly breathtaking scenery and some 270 kilometers of shoreline, most of which sits in Germany. After the beautiful bodies of water, the last stop of the day is the town of Appenzell. With about 7000 inhabitants, Appenzell is the political, economic and cultural center of Appenzell Innerrhoden, the smallest Swiss canton. The car - free village is spotted with a myriad of small stores and boutiques that are ideal for shopping and browsing.The facades of the buildings are decorated with frescoes.Appenzell Museum, which is in the town hall, shows a cross section of Appenzell’ s history and culture.After a day of exploring picturesque Switzerland, you’ ll head back to your hotel in Zurich for dinner and to rest.

After the train ride, you’ll take a wheelchair accessible van to Switzerland’s capital city of Bern. You’ll check in to your accessible hotel, and get some rest after a long scenic travel day.

After visiting the adventure capital, you’ ll visit the Jungfraujoch cable car.You will ride the cable car to 4300 meters above sea level, which will take you to a lookout point to observe the Jungfraujoch glacier - the longest glacier in Europe.You’ ll take a train ride from Europe’ s highest train station, visit glacier caves and view ice sculptures, and have the chance to grab a bite to eat at 3500 meters above sea level.You’ ll then return to your hotel to rest before your last excursion tomorrow.

    Important Information

    • This tour has a maximum capacity of 8 people, with a total of 4 wheelchair users. (2 power chairs and 2 additional seat transfer spots).
    • A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour ($400 usd is non-refundable). The remaining 50% must be paid 30 days before the trip start date.
    • Group tours will be accepting new travelers until 45 trips prior to the start date.
    • This tour must have a minimum of 10 participants to take place at the listed price. If the minimum is not reached, the tour still may be able to occur at a higher price
    • Rates offered are considered based on a double room occupancy. For single occupancy an extra fee will be required, reach out to our travel expert for details
    • Once your request to book is submited, a travel expert will reach out and assist you with the payment process, gathering any special needs or dietary restrictions and answer any possible questions you might have. We will be able to confirm the trip once the minimum number of spots are filled.
    • Spots will be reserved on and a first come, first serve basis.

    Cancellation Policies

    • A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour ($400 usd is non-refundable). The remaining 50% must be paid 60 days before the trip start date.
    • If you cancel after booking, we will do our best to reimburse tickets, accommodations, and reservations where possible.
    • If a trip or activity cannot take place due to extraordinary circumstances(bad weather, social movements, etc), a full refund cannot be guaranteed.Rest assured, the Wheel the World team will do their best to offer the best arrangements possible.
