You’ll discover the diverse city of Athens and its historical monuments like the imposing Acropolis, dazzled from different angles in the city and still enthroned over the city as a reminder of the beauty and glory of ancient Athens. Then, you’ll drive to Olympieion, the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and Panathinaiko Stadium. In this birthplace of a worldwide tradition, the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. You’ll also visit the tomb of the unknown soldier in front of the parliament building at Syntagma Square, Panepistimiou Boulevard along the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy of Athens, the University, and the National Library. You’ll stop for lunch along the tour and then return to the hotel, where you’ll have the rest of the afternoon and evening free.

Your guide will pick you up in a wheelchair accessible vehicle after breakfast, and you’ll drive approximately one hour to Attica. You’ll start with a visit to the MArkou Wine Museum, to learn about the history of wine in the region. Then, you’ll visit wineries, observe the production process and even taste some wine. Once you’re all wined out, you’ll head back to Athens for dinner and to relax at your hotel.

Your guide will pick you up from the hotel in an accessible vehicle and take you to the port, where you will depart from Athens at 11:00 am. After boarding the Celestyal Olympia, you’ll settle into your cabin. You’ll have time to explore the ship - and its bars, library, pool, spa, and restaurants - before docking in Mykonos in the afternoon. The ship will dock in Mykonos from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, giving you time to disembark, explore and have dinner on the beautiful island before returning to the ship and your cabin. Depending on conditions, sometimes Mykonos passengers can only disembark by tender boats from the ship to go ashore and vice versa. This procedure can be rather difficult for passengers with limited mobility, as it involves transferring from the ship to the tender boat, the boat to the dock, and vice versa.

    After returning to the ship, you’ll sail to Patmos, a small island that you’ll be able to explore from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It has beautiful white architecture and stone streets. Christian pilgrims frequently visit the island due to its connection with the prophet John and the writing of the Book of Revelation. Passengers can only disembark for Patmos by tender boats from the ship to go ashore and vice versa. This procedure can be rather difficult for passengers with limited mobility, as it involves transferring from the ship to the tender boat, the boat to the dock, and vice versa.

    Important Information

    • This tour has a maximum capacity of 8 people, with a total of 2 wheelchair users. All needs to be able to do minimal walking.
    • The cruise ship has two wheelchair accessible cabins.
    • A 20% deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour ($200 usd is non-refundable). The remaining 80% must be paid 30 days before the trip start date.
    • Group tours will be accepting new travelers until 45 trips prior to the start date.
    • This tour must have a minimum of 8 participants to take place at the listed price. If the minimum is not reached, the tour still may be able to occur at a higher price.
    • A 20 % deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour($200 usd is non - refundable). The remaining 80 % must be paid 30 days before the trip start date.
    • Tendering ports: Santorini, Patmos, Milos and sometimes Mykonos passengers can only disembark by tender boats from the ship to go ashore and vice versa. Depends on the condition of the ports & weather. Passengers need to be able to relocate to the tender boat, where a few steps are required.
    • Rates offered are considered based on a double room occupancy. For single occupancy an extra fee will be required, reach out to our travel expert for details
    • Once your request to book is submited, a travel expert will reach out and assist you with the payment process, gathering any special needs or dietary restrictions and answer any possible questions you might have. We will be able to confirm the trip once the minimum number of spots are filled.
    • Spots will be reserved on and a first come, first serve basis.
    • Based on availability, the hotel may be replaced for another alternative in the same category
    • The order of the itinerary may change if necessary.

    Cancellation Policies

    • If you cancel up to 60 days before your check-in day, you will receive a full refund minus $200 usd.
    • If you cancel between 59 and 30 days before your check-in day, 25% of the total cost of your booking will be due.
    • If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before your check-in day, 60% of the total cost of your booking will be due.
    • If you cancel less than 14 days before your check-in day, the total cost of your booking will be due.
    • If a trip or activity cannot take place due to extraordinary circumstances (bad weather, social movements, etc), a full refund cannot be guaranteed. Rest assured, the Wheel the World team will do their best to offer the best arrangements possible.
