Home of lovely tropical beaches, grand adventures, and wonders of nature. Your local guide will meet you at the airport. They’ll have a sign with your name on it. The guide will assist with your luggage and you’ll take a private adapted van to your hotel in San Jose. Depending on your hotel, the journey from the airport can take up to 1 hour. After checking in to your hotel, a welcome dinner will be waiting for you at the hotel restaurant.

You’ll tour the coffee plantation, enter a typical Costa Rican house, learn about the golden grain ,and taste a cup of chorreado coffee.
    Then, you will go to the town of Sarchí, where you will have a delicious typical “Tico” lunch. In Sarchí, you’ll visit a wagon factory that is over 100 years old, and learn how wagons are made and painted.

    After having breakfast at the hotel, it will be time for you to head to the beautiful paradise of Arenal! You’ll board the accessible bus with your guide and the rest of the group. The trip from San Jose to Arenal can take up to 3 hours. You’ll stop for lunch during the drive to Arenal. After checking in at your hotel, the day will continue at Vida Campesina, an organic farm where you will take a cooking class. You’ll be introduced to the farm, the produce that grows there, and you’ll make a toast at the end of the experience with sugar cane extract. You’ll prepare a traditional Costa Rican dinner as part of the cooking class at the farm.

The center is 100% accessible, with adapted restrooms and access, so that everyone can experience the excitement.
    After your ziplining adventure, you’ll get to relax in the volcanic thermal hot springs. Wheelchair assistance will be provided. You’ll then return to your hotel to rest and spend the night.

Both the boat and dock are fully accessible. After the boat tour, you will go to the hotel to rest and enjoy the all-inclusive facilities and services.

Depending on how adventurous you feel, you can choose to use a wheelchair accessible trail or a different trail with an all-terrain wheelchair. While there, you might be able to spot animals such as monkeys and raccoons, which can be quite daring and get rather close to tourists. After the hike and visit to the park’s pristine beach, you will return to the hotel to enjoy a free afternoon, where you’ll be served dinner and spend the night.

It is the only transitional forest in the Central Pacific, meaning it boasts very diverse flora and fauna, where species from the dry and humid forests meet. It is also one of the main sites in the country for birdwatching. Carara National Park is the first national park to have a universal access path, where all visitors can experience the forest and get to know local species such as the Coffee tree.
    Transfer to San Jose.
    After your adventure in Carara National Park you will be picked up for a beautiful drive back to San Jose. This drive will take about 4 hours and you’ll stop on the way for lunch and rest breaks.
    You’ll check in at your hotel in San Jose and get ready for a farewell dinner.

    Important Information

    • This tour has a maximum capacity of 10 people with a total of 5 power wheelchair users.
    • A 20 % deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour($200 usd is non - refundable). The remaining 80 % must be paid 45 days before the trip start date.
    • If the total amount of the group is not completed, the tour might still be possible for an extra fee if all members agree
    • Group tours will be accepting new travelers until 45 days before the trip starts.
    • Rates offered are considered based on a double room occupancy. For single occupancy an extra fee will be required, reach out to our travel expert for details

    Cancellation Policies

    • In case of cancellation or modification up to 45 days before the date of your experience, you will receive a full refund minus the non refundable 200usd
    • In case of cancellation or modification within the 44 days prior to the date of your experience, or in case of no-show, the total cost of your reservation will be due.
    • If a trip or activity cannot take place due to extraordinary circumstances (bad weather, social movements, etc), a full refund cannot be guaranteed. Rest assured the Wheel the World team will do their best to offer the best arrangements possible.
