Day 1. Downtown Cusco City Tour

On this first day, you will get to know the most characteristic places in the center of Cusco, known for its mixture of Inca and Spanish cultures. During the guided tour, you will discover the streets, churches, and archeological treasures of the city, including the famous Stone of Twelve Angles on Hatun Rumilloc Street, and the Temple of Korikancha. Your first stop will beat Huaypo lagoon, to start an adapted bicycle tour through the Sacred Valley. It truly is a must-do for all mountain biking lovers as the tour combine smooth dirt roads and steep paths, with views over the Vilcanota mountain range.
You will then head to a community in the Valley to learn about local lifestyle and activities and have lunch on site. If your visit takes place on a market day, you will be able to browse the stalls in search of hand-painted beads or warm ponchos and maybe practice some Quechua, the local language.
Later on, you will discover the town of Ollantaytambo which has been built over an ancient Inca town and make your way to your hotel.

The train journey itself is worth the trip for its spectacular sights. You will then board a bus that will take you to the entrance door of the citadel.
Machu Picchu is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its architectural beauty, natural landscapes and the energy you feel emerging from its enigmatic constructions will leave you breathless.
We have found out that Joëlette wheelchairs are the best way for you to enjoy Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a guided tour and also some free time to explore and take any photos you want.
