Welcome to South Africa! This tour will give you a chance to explore the Garden Route, one of the most popular destination in the country amongst travellers but also locals. Mountains, beaches, bays, forests, a wide range of flora and fauna… the Garden Route has it all for an exciting holiday to remember!

Schedule

We have prepared the following program for our customers. However, all our products can be tailormade! Get in touch so that we can accommodate your needs and requests!

Day 1. Beginning of the Garden Route

On this day, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cape Town around 7:30 to make your way to the Garden Route starting point.
Depending on the season, you will go via Hermanus, famous for its whale watching, between June and early December.
The route to Mossel Bay will take you via apple and pear orchards. You will stop for lunch on the way and continue the scenic drive afterward until you arrive at your hotel for a relaxing evening and night.

Day 2. Ostrich farming Mecca

After breakfast, you will make your way to the Mecca of South African ostrich farming: Oudtshoorn. You will pass by George and the picturesque Outeniqua Pass. Once you arrive, you will get to visit one of the many Ostrich Show Ranches and the Cango Wildlife Farm. Later on, you will make your way back to your hotel, via a leisurely drive, offering breathtaking views.

Day 3. Tsitsikamma National Park

Today, you will get to enjoy one of the world’s most picturesque drives, as you drive to Knysna, via Wilderness and the Lake District.
Your first stop will allow you to discover the must-see Knysna Heads.
An optional boat cruise on Krysna Lagoon will then be offered to you for an extra charge, depending on the weather.
You will then make your way to the heart of the Garden Route: the Tsitsikamma National Park. From there, you can go for walks in the forest and discover the local plants and birds, check out the rock pools, full of marine life, or relax while enjoying views over the superb coastline, where whales, dolphins and sea otters can often be seen.

Day 4. Stormriver Adventures

This morning, you will choose in between taking some time out to relax or take part in one of the optional activities, for an extra cost. You could either visit the Monkeyland, Birds of Eden or the Elephant Sanctuary, where you enjoy a “Trunk in hand tour” or elephant back ride.
In the afternoon, your journey continues to Stormsriver, the adrenaline center of the Garden Route! The most adventurous travelers might want to have a go at the Bloukrans Bungee jump, for an additional cost. It is one of the highest bungee jumps available in the world, at 216 meters high!
On the way back, you will enjoy a leisurely drive along more coastline, before returning to Tsitsikamma Forest for the second night.

Day 5. Port Elizabeth

On this last day of the tour, you will make your way along the breathtaking coastline to the 5th largest city in South Africa: Port Elizabeth. Also known as “friendly city” or “windy city”, this is where this tour ends.
Depending on when you need to be dropped at the airport, an accessible transfer will be organized for you.
