Day 2. Adapted surf and beach day
Get ready to start your day with the most classic Maui Experience: Surfing!
Surf lessons are one of the best ways to enjoy Maui’s beautiful ocean. This private adaptive surf lesson allows you, your family and friends, to have the time and attention required for a successful surfing experience, whether you are a first-timer or not. The surf spots have been carefully selected for their year-round beginner and intermediate surf conditions. Assistance will be provided at all times, including the use of a special surfboard, carved with an ergonomic shape, to make it easy and comfortable to enjoy this experience.
If you are a wheelchair user, accessibility mats will be installed so you can easily get onto the sand and enjoy the beach.
After your surfing lesson, enjoy the rest of the day on the beach and … relax!
Day 3. Haleakala Volcano & Luau Show
Your day will start with a very early morning, as you will meet your guide at 3:30 at Haiku marketplace. After having a hot drink, you will be given instructions about what is to come and be fitted with the gear for your bike ride. You will then board an accessible bus to drive up to the summit of Haleakala dormant volcano, to experience an incredible sunrise. On your way there, your guide will tell you more about Hawaiian culture and nature. Depending on the weather conditions, you might get to view inside the crater and see Maui from this 3 000 meters high viewpoint.
Later on, you will continue with a guided bike descent ride. You will enjoy a 42 km way down the volcano, surrounded by beautiful views of Maui, at your own pace and within your comfort zone. You will take a 20-minute break at Kula Marketplace and a 1-hour break in Paia.
Once back at Haiku marketplace, you will return to your accommodation to have a rest or continue with any plans you might have, before getting ready for your Luau Experience at 16:00. This show combines culture, entertainment, food and drink so that you can enjoy a traditional Hawaiian night.
Listen to the beating of the drums, the Hawaiian chant, the sound of the conch… admire the lighting of the torches, the sunset, authentic dances, with a fire-knife dance finale… and taste the exotic flavors of Hawaiian cuisine after witnessing a traditional imu ceremony. This evening is a journey throughout the islands of Polynesia… in one night!
You will be able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat type buffet, and a hosted open bar with alcoholic beverages for over 21s. Gluten, dairy, and nut free options are available. At the end of the evening, you will be transferred back to your hotel in an adapted vehicle.
Day 4. Kayaking experience + Departure
The best time to enjoy the calm waters of the ocean is early in the morning. For this reason, this private tour will start after a 6:45 check in at Olowalu when your certified lifeguard guide will instruct you on paddling and safety, and accommodate any special needs before getting on the water.
Once into your kayak, you will discover Maui’s west side coastline, while listening to the stories from your guide.
Later on, snorkeling equipment will be provided so you can admire the surrounding tropical fishes, corals, and if you are lucky, green sea turtles.
As you paddle back to the coastline, you will be able to enjoy the views of “Mauna Kahalawai”, the West Maui mountains can be seen as you paddle the coastline.
A snack consisting of fresh locally grown pineapple skewers, locally made kettle chips and water will be handed to you during the tour.
Later on, an adapted transfer back to the airport will be organized for you, depending on your departure flight time.
Please note that due to high demand and limited offer, accessible rooms availability varies. We will do everything we can to get the best option according to your needs. For this reason, the total trip price might vary. Early booking is advised and strongly encouraged.
