Destination

Easter Island, or as the natives call it Rapa Nui, is a remote volcanic island in the South Pacific, 2,300 miles from the Chilean coast.
The island is famous for its mysterious Moai statues, and mystic atmosphere. It offers a wide range of activities, from hiking on volcanoes, cycling around the island and scuba diving… to relax on the sandy beaches.
The Rapa Nui culture, with its language, cuisine, dances, music, and Polynesian costumes, also makes a unique place to go!

Schedule

We have prepared the following program for our customers. However, all our products can be tailormade! Get in touch so that we can accommodate your needs and requests!

Your local guide will welcome you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel. On route, they will explain what is planned for the next few days.

Day 1. Diving in Anakena

Anakena is Easter Island’s main beach. Travelers enjoy it for its pink sand and turquoise water. From there, you will take off to a new adventure — scuba-diving in the clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Two certified divers trained by our team will be waiting for you on the beach. They will give you a short training session before entering the sea, and guide you through the entire diving experience, ensuring you are safe and supported at all times. While underwater, you will explore coral reefs and observe fishes of all types and colors.

Day 2. Trekking to Rano Kau Volcano & Orongo

You will start this adventure by hiking for 2 hours. You will pass through eucalyptus forests, discover inspiring landscapes, and get to the top of the volcano, offering you a viewing point over Hanga Roa, the island’s main town. The crater of Rano Kau crater is the largest of Rapa Nui. The rainwater inside it created a freshwater lake, that is covered by totora reeds, figs, and vines. It is one of the most special and magical places on the island. You will also get to visit Orongo, the ceremonial center of the island. This village consists of old stone houses, with no windows, that face Motu Nui, where initiation but also adulthood admission ceremonies took place. Some of the houses feature petroglyphs, representing birdmen and Make Make, the god who created the island.

Day 3. Trekking at Rano Raraku Volcano

The Rano Raraku volcano is one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites on the planet. For hundreds of years, it served as a quarry for carving out the Moais — the giant statues representing deified ancestors. This landscape will take your breath away as you make your way to the volcano crater while observing the Moais-filled valley. To make the most of this experience, we recommend taking this tour in the afternoon before sunset. Take your time to explore the valley and listen to the guides telling you the story of the place and sharing the great myths of the Rapa Nui culture. Once you finish the tour of the Moais, your journey will continue to the freshwater crater lake. From there, you will enjoy the intense colors of the sunset.

Day 4. Trekking to Terevaka Volcano

The walk begins at Ahu Akivi, the inland sacred place where seven Moais are looking out towards the ocean. Terevaka is the youngest of the three extinct volcanoes and the highest place on the island, at 511 meters above sea level. The top of the volcano offers a 360 degrees panoramic view of the Rapa Nui. While hiking there, you will enjoy views of the small forests, green hills and lush meadows with wild horses.

There is no way to fully describe what it means to have access to the world. I realized that I’m an adventurer and that I can discover new things still. When I thought that there was nothing left for me to discover. It was the most enriching feeling I’ve ever had.
