Day 1. Arrival

After breakfast, you will be picked up in an accessible van, directly from your hotel to head to your 1st stop: the Mission District. This neighborhood is known for being an outdoor art gallery. Enjoy the colorful walls and fences and take in the vibrant atmosphere as you stroll through picturesque Balmy, Cypress and Lilac Alleys.
You will then get back to the vehicle and pass through Valencia Street eclectic neighborhood, Downtown, where you will see the City Hall, Civic Center, China Town, and the Italian neighborhood.
Descend the iconic Lombard Street, famous for its curved street and beautiful flowers, as you make your way to Fisherman’s Wharf, Marina District and then The Palace of Fine Arts.
You will then discover the Presidio, a military base during the civil war, that now holds the Disney Family Museum.
You will stop for lunch at a food truck (not included) and head to Fort Point, one of the best spots to get an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
No San Francisco tour can be complete without a drive through Golden Gate Park! After a quick tour, you will be going through Haight Ashbury neighborhood to soak up on the San Francisco historic hippie vibe. It’s home to many vintage clothing boutiques, record shops, bookstores and eclectic restaurants.
The next 2 stops in Alamo Square and Twin Peaks, focus on providing you amazing view spots over the city and the hills.
On your way down, you will drive via Castro Neighbourhood, known for its gay culture on your way to your last stop: Dolores Park.
You will then be driven back to your hotel. Alternatively, you can stay longer in the park and enjoy the coffee stores around.

After breakfast, around 10:00, make your way to Fort Mason in an accessible taxi or UberWav. Once you arrive at the meeting point, you will meet your guides and be assisted to get seated on your handbike. After a short training, explaining how the handbike works and giving you all safety measures, you will start your 2h30 tour to the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy a flat stroll around the coast as you cycle the National Park Bike Path. Discover the Fort Mason area, the Marina district, the Palace of Fine Arts, Cressy Fields and Presidio National Park on your way to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Along the way, your local guide will tell you more about the bridge history and fun facts about the area. Once at the bridge, take your time to enjoy the views and take memorable pictures. You will then make you way back to the meeting point.
Later on, enjoy a stroll around the paved seacoast and get ready to board an accessible ferry, either at 15:50 or 16:45, to head to Alcatraz Island. Home of the famous prison, it also hosts a lighthouse and a military fortification. When visiting the island at the end of the day, you can enjoy sunset views over Golden Gate Bridge, and the whole bay all lit up. During the tour, you will hear interesting stories about the island, its history and its residents.
Visit the prison, discover the different areas of the island and once ready, take the ferry back. Once back onland, ask for an UberWav or similar accessible service to go back to your hotel or choice of location in the city.
