This accessible weekend adventure begins with a pick-up service in a wheelchair-accessible van from Miami International Airport. You will be driven to your hotel, the 4-star Marriott Stanton South Beach. South Beach is one of the best neighborhoods in Miami; it’s right next to the trendy Art Deco district and has loads of great bars and restaurants to visit. You will have a comfortable accessible room and can make full use of the hotel’s amenities, such as the infinity pool, gym and spa. On your first day you can choose to unpack and settle in or head to the beach, which is only a 2-minute walk away via a smooth flat path. Alternatively, you can contact our travel agents to see what other activities are available in Miami for your first afternoon. For dinner, you can choose to dine in the hotel’s Japanese or Mexican restaurant or explore some of the options available nearby.

After a good night’s sleep, you can wake up ready to enjoy a full day in Miami. You will visit Miami Seaquarium located on Virginia Key, which is one of the oldest oceanariums in the States. This wheelchair-accessible park is home to all kinds of sea creatures and you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy shows and to learn about marine habitats. The park has several restaurants and snack bars where you can get lunch, and you can spend the whole day exploring the park and having fun.

On day 2 of your weekend in Miami, you will go on the Little Havana food and cultural tour to discover Miami’s Cuban heritage, which has had a huge influence on the city. The guided accessible tour includes tastings of delicious Cuban treats such as Cuban sandwiches, churros and a mojito, and you’ll visit a cigar factory and listen to Latin music. You can also ask your guide about other places they would recommend visiting in the city.

For the last day of your relaxing Miami weekend, you will enjoy a guided accessible tour of Miami’s Art Deco district. This unique neighborhood features pastel colored buildings from the 1920s and 1930s which have all been preserved as part of the city’s heritage. Your guide will take you around the Art Deco district and point out notable features to you, and can also take you inside some of the buildings to show you how the Art Deco style has influenced the interior design.

At the end of your Miami weekend, wheelchair-accessible transportation will be provided to drive you to Miami Airport or to the station of your choice.

    Your admission to the park includes all-day access to the exhibits, plus access to any shows or presentations occurring. As the park is over 15 hectares (38 acres) in size, you will have plenty to see and do.

    Exhibits at the Miami Seaquarium include dolphins, sting rays, flamingos, penguins, seals, sea lions and turtles. The park is also home to Lolita the killer whale, who participates in shows with her trainer. Other shows at Miami Seaquarium include a Caribbean-themed dolphin show and a Rock and Roll dolphin show. Visitors can also touch and interact with animals in special zones such as the Touch Pools.

    You will meet your guide in Little Havana and set out for the tour, which will last approximately 2.5 hours. Little Havana was recently listed as an official American ‘National Treasure’ and is buzzing with Cuban culture. The tour includes some Little Havana highlights that other tours don’t visit, from artist studios to Cuban cigar makers to open-air markets. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, learn about the area from your guide and snap great photos.

    The tour also includes stop-offs at some of the best eateries in all of Little Havana, and you’ll eat a full lunch across the duration of the tour! This will include the best Cuban sandwich in Miami, churros made using a secret recipe invented by a Cuban grandma and other Latin treats which may feature empanadas and croquetas. The food will be accompanied by drinks such as tropical juice, Cuban coffee and the best mojito cocktail in Miami.

    The tour visits places that are wheelchair-accessible and the sidewalks are smooth and paved, making it easy to navigate independently in a wheelchair. Your guide will be on hand throughout the tour to assist you, should you require help.

    At the end of the tour, you will finish up at the meeting point and can ask your guide about other unmissable restaurants, bars and landmarks to visit in Miami.

    This private two-hour tour will show you the exterior of Art Deco buildings, located in the South Beach neighbourhood mostly between 10th and 15th street. You will also have the chance to enter a few of these buildings to see notable period features and interior design.

    At the end of the tour, you can carry on exploring South Beach or can ask your guide for tips on other cool places to visit in the city.

    Later on, a private transfer from the hotel to the airport/station of your choice will be arranged for you.
