The tour will begin with a pick-up service in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle from your Doha hotel. The tour staff have been trained to work with people with disabilities and will be available to assist you throughout the day.
The first stop on the tour will be the Grand State Mosque, also known as the Abd al-Wahhab Mosque. Built in 2011, this is the largest mosque in Qatar and can hold up to 30,000 people. The interior of the mosque is reserved for Muslims but you will be able to explore the outside of this building, with its impressive 30 domes and mix of modern and traditional design.
You will then move to an area of Doha known as the Education City district, home to campuses of world-leading universities, technology parks, start-up incubators and one of the largest libraries in Qatar. You’ll tour the district and your guide will point out some of the highlights, including the district’s mosque which was awarded a prize at the World Architecture Festival of 2015.
The last stop of the tour will be the Arab Museum of Modern Art, which displays a collection of over 9000 works of art from the Arab world. The gallery has permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as a range of activities designed to interest visitors of all ages.
After you've had a chance to explore the gallery, you will be taken back to your hotel.
