On this full-day accessible tour, you will have the chance to discover some of the highlights of the modern and bustling city of Doha.

The tour will begin with a morning pick-up service from your Doha hotel in an accessible vehicle. Tour staff have been trained to work with people with disabilities and can assist you to transfer into the vehicle, if necessary.

The first stop on the tour will be the Qatar National Museum, selected by The Times as one of the world’s best places to visit. Opened in March 2019, the accessible museum tells the story of the people of Qatar from the past to the present day.

You will then visit the Museum of Islamic Art, which houses one of the world’s largest collections of Islamic artifacts. The building is located in the port and offers an excellent view looking back over the Doha skyline from the terrace, which is accessible via a lift.

Next, you will stop at the Katara cultural village. You will have some time to have lunch here, as well as to explore the opera house and open-air amphitheater. The Blue Mosque is open to non-Muslim visitors, so you can go in to see the ornately decorated rooms.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you to The Pearl, a large modern real estate development boasting state-of-the-art houses, apartments, entertainment centers and shops. The Pearl opens onto a marina with beautiful sandy beaches. You will have some free time to explore, and you will then be taken back to your hotel for a brief rest stop.

In the evening, you will be picked up again from your hotel in an accessible vehicle and taken to Souq Waqif, a hundred-year-old traditional Arab marketplace that was renovated in 2006. The Qatari architectural style has been preserved but the market is now more accessible, with mostly paved ground and many shops with ramp access.

The souq is a great place to buy souvenirs, with stalls selling everything from clothes to spices to perfume and sweets. You will have some free time to have dinner in one of the many cafes or restaurants and your guide will be able to give you recommendations of places where you can try out local cuisine, if you wish.

Once you have had time to eat and shop, you will be driven back to your hotel.
