After check in, depending on your time of arrival, enjoy a bit of time to relax before your first activity starts around 14:30.

In the afternoon, you will discover 3 of Qatar’s desert hidden secrets. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in a 4WD SUV. They will provide assistance, if needed, while you transfer onto the vehicle seat. A special seatbelt will be provided to you to help with the balance during the drive. Once ready, the journey can begin, as you head to the west of Doha and immerse yourself in the desert. After about an hour drive, you will get to “Film City”, located behind a canyon in the desert of the Zekreet peninsula.
Purely artificial city that was built for Arabic TV series, Film City recreates an antique Arabic village, in the middle of the desert. As you stroll around the empty space, you will genuinely feel like you have stepped into a ghost town! You will spend about 30 minutes there, after which you will go back to the car for the 2nd stop of the tour.

Mystery Village is located a 10-minute drive away. Also part of film city project, it features special house constructions, made of rock formations. As you wander around, you will get an authentic feeling of stepping into a Star Wars Movie.
After some time here, you will continue your journey towards the famous Desert Columns, about 25 minutes away. As you drive along the desert, enjoy the views around you and you might spot some camels on the way.

Richard Serra’s sculpture “East-West/West-East,” is a set of four 14-metres tall standing steel plates that have been craned into place in the middle of the desert. They span over 1 km and make it a unique find in the desert. Take your time to take in the atmosphere as you have a look around the area. Special equipment and assistance will be provided if required, if you want to roll further around the columns and enjoy the magic sunset hour from there.

When you are ready, you will get back into the car and make our way back to your hotel in Doha.

Get ready to discover Doha highlights in one day!

After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up around 8:30, in an accessible van, to start your cultural adventure.
Start your day with a visit to the Qatar National Museum. Opened in March 2019, it’s been named as 1 of the world’s greatest places to visit by the Time Magazine. It focuses on the story of Qatar and its people, from the past to the present day and its future.

After your visit, move on to another important museum of the city: the Museum of Islamic Art. Holding one of the world’s most complete collections of Islamic artifacts, its unique building features an outdoor terrace on the top floor, accessible with a lift, offering one of the best views over Doha skyline.

Next stop will be Katara cultural village, where you can have lunch and relax a bit. Real cultural center, it boasts an opera house, an open amphitheatre, a maritime heritage museum and many more multicultural facilities. Its Blue Mosque can also be visited by travellers.

After lunch, make your way to The Pearl, one of the largest real-estate developments in the Middle East. This artificial island features luxury apartments, villas, penthouses, townhouses and multiple entertainment facilities. It also boasts a marina and beautiful sandy beaches. It is home to more than 350 shops, including international fashion brands, world-class restaurants and coffee shops, making it a popular spot in the city.

Later on, you will be transferred back to your hotel so that you can rest a bit, before you are picked up to discover Souq Waqif. This marketplace dates back from at least a hundred years, but has been renovated in 2006. The ground is mostly paved, and some parts feature steps but alternative ways with ramps are available.

Yet, the traditional Qatari architecture has been preserved, and it is known to be the place to go to get an authentic feel for Qatari culture. Many traditional goods and souvenirs can be purchased from the souq, from fabric, dresses and perfumes, to spices, sweets and art goods. Many restaurants, with multiple types of food, make it a great choice to have dinner, whether for locals or visitors. If in doubt, we are happy to provide recommendations!

After dinner, you will be driven back to your hotel around 21:00, or later on if you so wish.
