Your first stop will be Taray viewpoint. It is 3 200 meters high and is the first point from which you can really appreciate the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with its landscapes, mountains and imposing rivers: Vilcanota and Urubamba. As you continue your journey, you might get to see the snowy summits of Huancalle and Pitusiray. Later on, you will arrive in the Andean town of Pisac. It has been created in 1570 by the Spanish. Mud and adobe houses, white walls, blue balconies, and tiled roof are still present and connect the old influence to the new era. Pisac market is one of the most famous of the continent and very popular amongst tourists. It usually takes places on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and is known for its various agricultural products, medicinal plants, and souvenirs. If you visit Pisac on a Sunday, it is recommended to attend mass. It is celebrated in the Quechua language, with the help of 7 varayocs, the heads of the surrounding communities. On this occasion, they wear their traditional outfit and hold a scepter, making it a unique celebration. For lunch, you will visit a community of the valley, learn about the local lifestyle and enjoy a traditional meal. Later on, you will discover the town of Ollantaytambo which has been built over an ancient Inca town and make your way back to your hotel.
