This activity will begin with a pick-up service from your hotel in an accessible minivan. Staff will be available to assist you to transfer, if necessary. You will then be driven to the Parque Cultural de Valparaiso, which has an elevator from the parking lot to the building, as well as accessible bathroom facilities.

You will then meet your professional chef and begin your 60-minute Chilean cooking class. You will have the opportunity to learn about cuisine from Valparaiso, which includes dishes passed down through generations with origins from many countries, thanks to the city’s rich history.

Your chef will first show you how to make the famous Pisco Sour cocktail, a typical drink of Chile and Peru. You will measure out the ingredients, squeeze the limes and mix it all together in the cocktail shaker to achieve a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors.

Next you will have a go at making Pebre, a classic condiment made with cilantro, onions, oil oil, garlic and spicy peppers. This dip is delicious when spread on bread, or is sometimes served as an accompaniment to meat dishes.

The last specialty you will try your hand at is Sopaipilla. This dish, consisting of fried bread, may sound simple but when paired with cooked pumpkin, you will find out why it is so popular.

Throughout the cooking class, your chef will share tips and secrets with you and can assist you to prepare the dishes, if necessary. All ingredients and equipment will be provided so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

At the end of the cooking class, you will be driven back to your accommodation in an accessible vehicle.
